It’s also easy to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it’s a dream to fold.
1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly traverse all types and terrains’.
The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack come together to create a sleek pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).
It’s also easy to attach or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors – the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks – as well as being machine washable to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who want a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then decide the best single pushchair mode for their adventure. The wagon can hold one or two children from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it comes with a spacious storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.
The Xplore also features dual canopies that rotate from front to back, ensuring ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This isn’t ideal for long drives or naps.
The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it doesn’t bend as much as some other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly once folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through doors with a width of 28 inches.
3. Delta Children LX Side by Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that’s affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size which means it’s lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a parent cup holder. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.
In our test of the push and turn it performed better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we test, but it’s not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.
It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It is missing certain features we believe are essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s latest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry infants from birth until around 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a carrycot and seat in just only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.
It’s a breeze to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the massive shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child in and out quickly. Despite being narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.
The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can pivot. This is helpful in rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate on our walk along a stony path. It was able to handle this well, though it did seem to be a bit bumpier.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,
Baby Jogger is famous for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to fold and fits easily in the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.
It is a bit heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain and it’s also a breeze to lift even with two children and a shopping bag.
Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.
It’s not a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that’s large enough to fit an infant’s changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller on the go.
6. Nuna Mixx Next
Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of many parents when it first appeared. It’s an aluminum-framed stroller that can be used from infant’s earliest days through. It comes with a variety of distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.
The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension which takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. It was simple to push, and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through the narrow streets.
It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system is included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use using a single action, colour coded and flip-flop compatible.

This budget single pushchair is extremely easy to use and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It’s also lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.
The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn’t great – it’s not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.
The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be configured to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It’s compatible with two infant car seats and can be used with carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be facing one another or turn around and face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling rivalries over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a big gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has a superior compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.
8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.
The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents who love to be active. It’s one of the lightest strollers you can buy for your child and offers excellent safety features such as five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It comes with a different kind of hand brake that is different from other models that is a twist.
The seat is well padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other joggers (it’s just 10 inches deep”) The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold 10 lbs., which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.
The Urban Glide 2 isn’t compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as of yet, but you can use it from day one by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
