Cheap Single Pushchairs

If you’re on a budget and don’t require a stroller that can double into a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that’s flip-flop user-friendly.

It’s simple to push, and it feels solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It’s also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy single for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types’.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair with a delicate elegant look. The frame itself weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

It’s also easy to attach or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors like the hood for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks – as well as being machine washable to prevent staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months by using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon is able to accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It has a huge storage basket that can accommodate everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This might not be ideal for long drives or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn’t bend as much as other wagons we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it’s not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move, however, and it can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable second stroller for their travels. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it’s very light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and an adult cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our push and turn test it performed better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it’s still not the easiest to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential for double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the latest addition to Maxi-Cosi’s pushchair range and is described as an urban travel system. It is really easy to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. Although it is a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without any fuss.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can pivot. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. While walking through the stony trail, we let them move and it handled this fairly well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It folds easily and fits easily into the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It weighs more than other strollers we tested, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It’s not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

The seat can be reclined into various positions. It also has a built-in double breathable mattress that’s suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn’t ideal – it’s not as silent as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be placed so that they face each the other. They can also be positioned to face the parents. This will help reduce sibling disputes over who sits with dad and mom. The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat isn’t as deep as those of other joggers (it’s only about 10″) The storage bin has an enclosed zipper to help keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs. This is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn’t come with adapters that will fit the majority of bassinets and infant car seats however, you can use them from the very first day using adapters that work with brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby.
