cheap Single Pushchair single stroller pushchair Pushchairs
If you’re on a tight budget and don’t want a stroller that can double into car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.
It’s easy to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It’s also easy to fold.
1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the most stroller that is light, ideal for city dwellers as for jet-setters. This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels that is made from Hytrel elastomer to ‘perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain’.
The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack come together to create a chic pushchair that has a soft elegant design. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).
It’s also simple to add or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors like the hood for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks – as well as being machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents seeking a versatile stroller. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can select which mode they prefer on their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to 5 years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold everything you need while on the go.
The Xplore also features dual canopies that turn from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn’t suitable for long journeys or napping.
The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it does not flex as much as other wagons we have test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it’s not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to maneuver however, and is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.
3. Delta Children LX Side by Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size which means it’s light, compact when folded and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as an adult cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.
In our test of push and turn it performed better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it’s still not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopies.
The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. It’s lacking certain features we consider essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats, and leg rests that can be adjusted.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is the latest version of Maxi-Cosi’s pushchair range and is advertised as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.
It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child out and in quickly. Despite this being quite a small pushchair, it was able to handle the bumps of everyday life well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.
The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to rotate which helps when covering rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate on our walk along the stony path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem to be a bit more bumpy.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,
Baby Jogger is most famous for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. But they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to fold and fits easily into the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.
It weighs more than other strollers we test, but since it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.
Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other prams’ hoods which are whipped back into toddlers’ faces.
It’s not a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that’s big enough to hold a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. It can also be used with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.
6. Nuna Mixx Next
When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It’s an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby’s first years and beyond. It’s got a few notable features, including the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy, a flip out eyeshade, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.
The chassis comes with a built-in suspension system which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. It was simple to push and our test driver was able manoeuvre the vehicle through tight streets.
It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It also stands and can be carried by trolley for easier transport in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system is available with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use, using a single fold pushchair, colour coded and flip-flop compatible.
7. Babyzen Duet
This budget pushchair is simple to operate and features a great dual suspension. It can be folded using just one hand, and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It’s also lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.
The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn’t perfect because it’s not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.
The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can face each other or turn around and face the parents, theoretically reducing sibling disputes over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder snack tray, and the ability to change mats. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.
8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2
The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who want to keep active. It’s one of the lightest strollers that you can buy for your child. It also has great safety features, like the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It comes with a different kind of hand brake that is different from other models that is an interesting twist.
The seat is very comfortable and offers a large area to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other joggers (it’s just about 10 inches”) The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs., which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.
The Urban Glide 2 doesn’t come with adapters that will fit the majority of bassinets and car seats for infants however, you can use them from the first day using adapters that work with brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
