The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and don’t require a stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It’s easy to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It’s also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels made of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly navigate all terrains and types’.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a sleek pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it from the box (and do so one-handed).

It’s also easy to add or remove adaptors or attachments like the hood for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks – as well as being machine washable at 30deg to prevent staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. The Evenflo Pivot can be transformed from a stroller into an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then decide the best mode for their journey. The wagon can hold one or two kids from 6 months up to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket for everything you need on the go.

The Xplore comes with two canopy options that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This may not be suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy however, it isn’t able to bend as much as some other wagons that we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it’s not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable second stroller for their travels. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size which means it’s lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has a multi-position reclined seat and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we tried, but it’s not the easiest to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to assemble with an average manual and no components required tools. But, it’s lacking certain essential features we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features for a double stroller such as an extra-large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It can be used from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base, and a reversible car.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to take their child in and out. This compact pushchair can handle everyday bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also rotate. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on an uneven path. It handled the situation well, although it seemed slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It folds easily and fits easily in the boot of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we’ve test, but since it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It’s a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It’s easy to carry even with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers’ faces.

It doesn’t have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket that’s large enough to fit a changing bag and plenty of groceries. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a lot of parents when it first came out. It’s an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby’s first years and beyond. It comes with a variety of stand-out features including the possibility of flipping the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a built-in suspension system which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. It was easy to push and our tester was able to maneuver the car through narrow streets.

It folds in just four steps and automatically locks without hassle. It can also stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes equipped with the ability to add a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are simple to use using a single stroller sale action, colour coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to use and has a great dual suspension. It folds by one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It’s also super lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn’t perfect because it’s not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be facing one another or turn around and face parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling rivalries over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger for parents who like to stay active. It’s one of the lightest running strollers that you can purchase for your child. It comes with excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness as well as a safety wrist strap. It also has a twist hand brake which is different from the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is well padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other runners (it’s just about 10 inches”) The storage bin is equipped with a zippered cover to help keep items safe. It can hold up to 10 pounds. It is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn’t compatible with bassinets or infant car seats as it comes, but you can use it from the beginning with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to put together with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
